We talk a lot about putting money into our fireplaces on Fireplace Decorating, but never before have we talked about getting rich from our fireplaces!Tracy Berry was cleaning out her Trentham, Australia tavern's fireplace when she found what looked like a gold nugget. Thinking there was no way it was real gold she stashed it aside as a mere curiosity. Later - after showing it to a few friends, some who cried gold, some who cried fool's gold, she had it appraised. It turns out it was a 148 gram nugget of real gold worth around $5000. What a fireplace find!!!
